How many of you will jump at the chance to lay their hands on millions of dollars? Let’s face it; who wouldn’t? The need for comfort has made us easy prey to internet scammers. There are literally millions of such people in the world running all kinds of scams. If you have never received an email about a millionaire looking to share her/his wealth with you if you only provide your bank details, then, you are not of this world!
So, I was not surprised when I logged into my Facebook account and received this from Anita John.
As you can see, my primal instinct was to be defensive. Then I thought to myself; what if I play along? So I apologized for being rude. What followed was quite unbelievable.
Have a look
And Anita did not disappoint!
This is where it gets interesting! All along, the scammer wanted me to believe she is Anita- a lovely damsel in distress. But don’t we all know these chaps are mostly men? Maybe a prisoner serving life for robbery with violence in those East European countries. Or a Nigerian oga holed up in a dingy cyber.
So Anita introduces me to ‘rev father in charge of our refugee camp’
Well, at this point I also decide to introduce Anita to my pastor.
Right now I’m eagerly waiting for Anita’s reply. Will Anita send a photo of a man with the Order Of The Black Cross drawn on his chest? Or will Anita see through my game?
